Reloaded AA hulls get stuck

I run the cheaper Winchester Hulls for Skeet.  I get the 'nail head' over time using a Lee Load-All.  They work fine in an OU for skeet but I think they act up sometimes on the Autoloader.  They also act up on the Cowboy SXS sometimes.  So far my testing with a drill press operated roll crimp has worked good for cowboy.  I am using those junk Federal Hulls and I may only roll crimp them one time.  For a normal day we only need one box.  I have found that a punch and a cracker box makes a nice overshot card that doesn't litter the place up (cardboard breaks down) like a bingo token.  But what is a bingo token?  We are already throwing an oz of lead and a wad on the ground?

We'll see.

Thanks to everyone for all the feedback and suggestions. I ended adjusting the press to reduce, or minimize, wad pressure, then fine tuned everything to get a perfect crimp. I also bought the Cowboy Edge taper tool and absolutely love it. I mounted it to the side of my gun cart and run my shells through it before each stage. I think I can consider this issue resolved.

Just for fun I’m going to buy some STS hulls and try those out.

thanks again!

You'll love the STS hulls.  Nitro hulls are great too.  If you come across any Gun club hulls try reloading them too.  I load them once with black powder for local matches and then toss them.  They are not quite as good as Nitros or STS hulls, but I pick them up for free.  Being cheap frugal that price appeals to me.
