SOLD: Pair of Two-Tone Pietta "1858" Remington Model 1858 Army Sheriff .44s

Recommended Posts

SOLD:  A pair of Percussion Pistols.  Pietta Remington "1858" Blued 5-'1/2" barreled .44s

After much waiting for VTI,  the Cylinders are Stainless.  Hammers and Triggers are Stainless.

Hammer Screws, Trigger Screws, Strain Screws, and Lever Screws are all Stainless.

Front Sights have been serrated.  Springs have been replaced with Wolffe SAA reduced

power springs.  No handling marks on grips.  One Pietta Front Sight has been replaced

with Uberti Front Sight.

I like Stainless Cylinders and nipples for their ease of cleaning and corrosion resistance.

In my longer Remingtons, I also switched to stainless cylinder pins.

Stainless parts are more expensive, but they are harder and they look good.

"The Remington Model 1858 was one of the most powerful and rugged single-action revolvers of its day.

Easily removable, replaceable cylinders made reloading extremely fast. A compact version of the original,

the realistic Pietta Model 1858 New Army .44-Caliber Black Powder Revolver boasts the same performance

with a polished brass trigger guard, blued steel construction, octagonal barrel and walnut grips. The 5-1/2”

barrel makes it easier to holster and handle."

As a final step I was going to send them off to Goonworks, but another project grabbed my attention.

$550. includes Priority Mail Shipping and Insurance to your door.

Thanks,

~Duc~

$550 shipped right

What project you working on now?

Working on getting my custom Colt .38-40's engraved.  As I get older and thin the herd the ones I'll still have will be the Colts and my original '73 in .38-40.  I don't know what my final shotgun will be, but it will be an American-made SxS.  550.00 includes shipping, yep.

I checked online and found this:

Illinois has really gotten stupid lately. . Effective July 1, the State of Illinois now requires that ALL modern guns (Post 1898) be shipped by an FFL to an FFL. This includes post 1898 percussion revolvers. An additional cost would be the FFL Transfer Fee and the extra cost for UPS 2nd Day Air Shipping.

Have fun

Keep fighting there in Illinois, our California pards have an uphill battle, New Jersey also, and probably others.  It's a countrywide problem.  There's grabbers everywhere.  Are you located within easy driving distance to Indiana?
