Blackey Cole
Was looking at the cc and saw photos of a ROA with a Bisley conversion. Several years ago I want to do this and Hipshot said it was an illegal mod has that changed?
Bad Hand
I guess it was mine, I don't know Hipshot and didn't ask his approval. The rules at that time said " Bisley hammer had to be matched up with a Bisley grip". Alan Harton down in Houston did the modification, I also have a .45 conversion cylinder for it. PaleWolf Brunelle, #2495L
Installing a Bisley grip-frame WITH a Bisley hammer on a Ruger Old Army was ruled as "approved" by the ROC some time ago. As of last year's TG Summit, ALL BISLEY restrictions have been removed from the SHB regarding grip frames and hammers. There are very few regulations regarding HAMMER replacement/modification remaining in the rules. REF: SHB p.
