Come On Christmas Posted January 18, 2013 Posted January 18, 2013 This 1858 44 started its life as an 8" revolver. It was professionally amputated to 5 1/2 inches. What is cool about it is it has a windage driftable dovetailed front sight that a store bought does not have. I want to trade this pistol for a 36 caliber 1858 or 1851. Here are the pictures. http://i302.photobucket.com/albums/nn107/shameless54/013-4_zpse323eebe.jpg http://i302.photobucket.com/albums/nn107/shameless54/012-4_zpse351c0f6.jpg http://i302.photobucket.com/albums/nn107/shameless54/014-3_zps2fd9f2b4.jpg http://i302.photobucket.com/albums/nn107/shameless54/015-3_zps21cd32bb.jpg http://i302.photobucket.com/albums/nn107/shameless54/016-2_zps7156f925.jpg The cut off looks funny in the picture, but it is perfectly square. Thanks, Shameless

Parson John Tourmann, #67768 Posted February 4, 2013 Posted February 4, 2013 SW, I have made 2 of these Remes with 4 3/4" barrels. Have a bud who does the mashine work on the load lever. Driflable, fat front sight. Parson
Come On Christmas Posted February 4, 2013 Author Posted February 4, 2013 Cool. It's weird, this one has a 5 1/2" barrel and I got to comparing my Remington's and the loading lever on this one it is an inch or more longer than my other 8" models. It was made in 2001. O K Kid I DID END UP TRADING PISTOLS Shameless
