The details of this shotgun are noted below. Model: 1897 "E" Take-Down SN: 423xxx Manufacture Date: 1908 Barrel Length: 20" With Cylinder Bore, Perfect For CAS Frame: Plum Patina Gauge: 12 GA and Chambered For 2 3/4" Shells Stock and Forend: Original With The Original Finish, Has Small Crack At The Wrist, No Repairs Needed, Almost Every Old 97 Has Simular Crack. Custom Gunsmithing Work: In 2009 I had Cowboys & Indian Store "Jim Bowie" installed a new 30" Winchester barrel shortened to 20", a complete action job, and a brass bead sight.
