Dusty Morningwood
I have a bit of a quandry. There is a fellow in IL who is interested in buying a modern percussion revolver I have for sale. Last year I purchased a modern percussion revolver from a shop in IL and they were required per IL state law to ship to my FFL overnight. Additional shipping cost for me, but still worked out OK as the FFL did not charge me to receive a package. But do I, as a Pennsylvania resident, have to send the gun to an FFL in IL for transfer to the guy? Since BATF and USPS do not hold to IL law, I see no problems for myself. But what problems exist for recipient if I shipped directly to him? Color me confused.
Driftwood Johnson, SASS #38283
Howdy Sales of firearms must not only satisfy Federal regulations, but any pertinent state and local regulations too. If Ill requires treating a C&B gun as a firearm, then that is what must be done.
