Dutch Wheeler
Stoeger Coach Gun Modification for a lefty? I’m left-handed, and the Stoeger Coach Gun is designed for right-handed shooters. Opening the gun is much easier with the right hand due to basic anatomy. Squeezing your thumb toward your forefinger exerts more force than you can exert pushing your thumb away from your forefinger. Is it possible to change the break open lever so that it opens by moving it to the left so that a left-handed shooter can open it by squeezing the left thumb against the lever as opposed to pushing it? If so, is it possibly a do-it-yourself project, or does it require a gunsmith?
Larsen E. Pettifogger, SASS #32933
It's possible. But, and please don't take offense, if you have to ask how to do it then it is not a do-it-yourself project. Takes some grinding and welding in the right spots, but when you are done the lever can be pushed in either direction.
