Mean Matt McCord, SASS #24683
Got home from our monthly match on Saturday only to realize that I had knocked the front sight off one of my open tops...I have no idea where it is. I have ordered a new one, but I need a little help. What is the best way to get the old adhesive out of the groove on the barrel, if there is an easy way to do that? It looks like the old sight was put on with JB Weld. As usual, thanks in advance.
Sgt. C.J. Sabre, SASS #46770
If it is JB Weld, heating it up will make it let go. Just until it's too hot to touch should do. If it was soldered however, more heat will be necessary.
