Just for giggles, I HAVE run .460 level loads in my short Cowboy .45 Special cases in a RUGER revolver, and yeah buddy they git yer attention. I don't think I would wanna do the Rowland conversion on anything but a steel frame 1911, and not one I cared a whole lot about at that, as I suspect even with the comp, the life of the gun would be rather short before it got battered.....
