I heard the you can replace them with 1911 hammer springs 30# or 34# ? Thanks Willie Replaced mine with the 1911 hammer springs, started out with a 26#, but one barrel wouldn't fire. Put 30# in and it works fine, now stays open when loading, also cut the lever release spring down one coil to allow the lever to work better. Be sure and file the springs flat on the ends so they don't bind
