Earl Brasse, SASS #3562 Posted January 2, 2011 Posted January 2, 2011 FOR SALE ** Price Reduced again 1-17-12 Cool addition for a Marlin collector, a Marlin Revolver. A great addition to any bookshelf or maybe display with old playing cards? Marlin No. 32 Standard 1875, Caliber .32 Rimfire Produced 1876-1887, numerically this one is in @ the 1st third of production. I have not scrubbed it as many are & instead left it as-is. I figured it had a good "look' to it that way. So while it looks good to my eye, if you wished to clean it there would be a bit moe finish under a little of the years accumulation. Original nickel, with the brass frame showing through here & there. Condition: working although loose, with good timing, some play in cylinder & hinge, hinge has no cracks or repairs. Bore is typical, pitted, but good lands & grooves, the tiny lip at the breech is still there, although thin. Pin at front used to poke cakes out is nice & tight. Hammer & trigger springs still stout. Grips are very nice with no cracks or chips & nice checkering & Star. (Insert all legal mumbo-jumbo, not sold as a shooter, sold only where legal, not responsible for.... etc...) $325. PRICE LOWERED 1-17-11 new price $285. ***** 1-17-12 NEW, Lower price, $250. Earl Brasse, SASS #3562 Posted January 20, 2012 Author Posted January 20, 2012 I think yer right Jim, it ought to be worth that just to put a frame around it & call it "Art". Actually... that might not be a bad idea either.
