Absolutely! I will see if I can find the article that tells about it, but as I recall, at one point, the band’s then lead guitarist left the band right before they were to go on tour. Evidently he thought it would leave them somewhat in a bind. He didn’t realize Nancy could play everything he did, and stepped up to do just that. She just has a love for the acoustic. -

I definitely agree, but Ann is not a vocal “one trick pony.” If you want to grasp how good she is, go to YouTube and search for “Charismatic Voice Heart.” The channel is a professional opera singer and vocal coach who analyzes different singers. She has been very impressed by Ann Wilson. -
What did I miss?

AB and I danced to this at our wedding. It always makes me think of her and feel better. After all, I may not be the guy some girls think of as handsome… -
That’s not an either/or proposition. I’m perfectly capable of coffee, then a nap, thank you.

A lot of people will name Stairway to Heaven as the "best rock song" and all that. Personally, I don't think it is in Zeppelin's top ten. A strong contender for number one has to be: -

To quote Paul Harvey, "And now, for the rest of the story," (which is pretty awesome) https://www.ktre.com/2022/11/25/grandma-stranger-who-met-through-mistaken-text-celebrate-7th-thanksgiving-together/

Just because I don’t want one doesn’t mean I’m not going to treat him like family once he’s here.

A KO What? Seriously, I camp to get as far away from people as possible. Whether dispersed camping, Going to places I know of far back in the hills of Eastern Kentucky, or exploring more areas of the sort--what might pass for "overlanding." I tend to not stay at campgrounds, and then, only for specific reasons. There are numerous ways to produce hydrogen. To my understanding, it is still the most energy effective way to produce a fuel source compared to electricity and petroleum. In addition, it can be used in both internal combustion engines and as the fuel source for EVs. It is faster to refuel than electric, and more. It does have it's downside, including, as you mention, infrastructure. I do believe that a certain amount of propaganda in favor of electric vehicles, along with the tendency of the average person to not look behind the curtain (seeing coal powered plants, warming of waters behind hydroelectric dams, etc...) have pushed the popularity of EVs, while a lack of understanding about the actual safety of hydrogen has done it harm.

Oh, and August 26th is National and International Dog Day! So here's a pic of AB (aka Mrs. Doc) with Gus the pup, who is now about a year old, and sweet and stubborn and rambunctious and rotten and everything else you might expect from a Rat Terrier.

Some may remember me telling about how when I received word that my dad had passed at about 3:30 one morning, my daughter's dog, who we were dog sitting, stretched out next to me with his head as close to me as possible. He didn't move until I was ready to get up. We're dog sitting again, and I came down with a nasty bug. Guess who stretched out close to me, with his head near mine while I laid under blankets shivering and sweating? Yep. The same dog, this guy.

2000 Tundra, 20 mpg maybe if it was a 2WD. Can we agree at some point that there is a place for Electric Vehicles and Internal Combustion Vehicles? I have no desire to have an EV, because it would limit much of what I do. I really have no desire to see charging stations when I am out in the middle of nowhere camping. And right now my truck does pretty well at pulling a horse trailer when necessary. A friend has a Tesla that is insanely fast, but you lose so much of the driving experience without a shift knob in hand. The paddle shifters on my Outback Wilderness are a substitute, but still pales by comparison to the real thing. If I just wanted a commuter vehicle, I would strongly consider an EV. Having said that, I still say Hydrogen is the better option.

I was just going to post this. Glad I saw your post first. My father-in-law was a Brubeck fan and saw him on his Jazz Goes to College tour. Oh, and The Allman Brothers do a good job, but I have to stick with Van Morrison. -

The woman thought it said Trump. It was so funny I literally laughed out loud. Sent it to AB any she laughed as well
