Middle school. Class was about to start and some of the class clowns were horsing around in the back row. Teacher walks in and says "Stop jumping around back there". Instead of using the English pronunciation for the word "jumping", she used the Spanish, which came out "humping". She had a difficult time controlling the class for the rest of the hour.

Recovering from our disastrous election.
Conservatives thought it was in the bag, with a 27 point lead before the start, then something happened and the Conservative lead vanished almost overnight.
The aftereffects are rippling through Canadian and Western Canadian society and a crisis is brewing.
Glad to see you back. Missed you.

That is a great idea!!!
It is my plan, as soon as I am able to kiss the insane asylum good bye, I would like to make quilts for those in ALFs and Homes. I would focus on wheelchair sized as they would be most practical. As my skills get better, I would join Quilts Of Valor and Hero Dogs to sew for them. We'll see how much of that comes to fruition.

I’ll back @Texas Joker here and also ask, how often do you intend to travel?
Spending a bunch of money on a suitcase you will only use every couple of years isn’t worth it.
Suggestions:1. Do not buy black luggage. Easy to steal in a sea of black bags.
2. Taking electronics in checked bags? Get hard sided luggage. If not get ballistic nylon bags.
3. Put your clean underwear in a mesh laundry bag. Put your valuables in the underwear. I have flown dozens of times and once I started putting my valuables in my underwear I haven’t lost a thing.
To add to this list, put your rolled up underwear in your shoes, followed by socks. More space efficient and secure. I also agree with @J-BAR #18287 Depending on the length of your trip and access to facilities, bring only a couple of changes of clothes in a carry-on and plan on doing laundry at your destination. A little less convenient but a lot less to keep track of.
This is the luggage we purchased last time. At the time, we were flying coast to coast at least 3 times a year. We're not doing that now. Even so, they nest inside each other for easy storage and have held up well. To help with identification, I put some reflective tape on them to help them stand out.

If you plan on traveling more often, you may want to look into Tumi. Buy once, cry once. If not, I recently purchased some Samsonite for us and we like it a lot. This website has a lot of used luggage for really good prices. Take a look here. https://www.unclaimedbaggage.com/collections/luggage-bags-1 We've purchased some items from them and are quite impressed.

I wonder if that color scheme is what attracted this younger generation too? From the camera angle it's tough to tell but looks very similar.

"Myths And Legends Of King Arthur And The Knights Of The Round Table"!!!!
I am a huge Rick Wakeman fan. I have several of his works including White Rock, Journey To The Centre Of The Earth, Six Wives Of King Henry The VIII, And Myths And Legends, to name a few.

First one I received as a gift, Bobby Sherman {10 years old}. First one I purchased, Stevie Wonder "Songs In The Key Of Life" {17 years old}. First marriage in a custom van with an 8 track player, Styx "Grand Illusion", Fleetwood Mac "Rumours", Billy Joel "52nd Street", {19 years old}. When I received my first paycheck and started seriously collecting, Yes, "Close To The Edge", Eagles "Hotel California", London Symphony "Beethoven's 6th". {26 years old}.
As you can see, I'm all over the map. I'm a classically trained violinist that likes rock and roll.

We have lots of horses out here and things like fireworks are strictly forbidden because it spooks the horses. We had a neighbors horse severely injure itself trying to get out of it's stall one 4th of July because someone came into the neighborhood to set off fireworks that were forbidden in their town. Several neighbors showed up and "detained" them while they waited for the sheriff.

Kris!! It gets better!! The first time I was down, (eight years ago now) I found out that it’s possible to lose weight while sitting around on my duff!
After a while, you become embarrassed to ask someone to get you a snack or bring you something to drink and you just start doing without.
I just completed my fifth week since surgery. Fourth cast and I’m feeling much better!
Hope you catch up soon!!
NOTE: I turned a small trash can upside down and put a pillow on top of that to prop my foot up while I’m in the gun room, (gun room passes for my office and inside repair shop). It’s working pretty well!
Thank you!! I shoved a box under my desk and it works for a spell.
Did you replace the wheels on your scooter with pneumatic ones? If so, which ones did you get? I can find replacement wheels but I want to make sure the axle spindle is the correct size.
I am not able to take the scooter into the sewing room because of space issues. I'm going to ask Uno to move the small machine out to the coffee table for me so I can start doing some things out there. We'll see how that goes.
Thank you again.

Looks interesting. My concern would be at losing a turbine at anything above 30 feet up. The consequences could be pretty dire.

Well, I made it. Thanks for all the well wishes. The "two hour" surgery turned into 5. I had a couple of nasty falls since then and they had to check me out and re-bandage me. {Uno is still getting used to having to help me do things like stand up.}
Blackwater, you are a saint and absolutely correct. As long as I am able to elevate and ice, the pain is tolerable. I'm trying to stay away from the heavy duty stuff they gave me because I don't like putting narcotics in my system.
It's difficult to sit at my desk because I don't have a place to elevate my foot. I will pop in when I can..
Thanks again for all the love and support.

Shop for a knee scooter now. Prices will be going up due to tariffs. The ones the medical companies rent just plain suck. Check with your insurance to see what they’ll cover.
Search words “All terrain ortho knee scooter with pneumatic wheels”Things you should consider:
- rear locking brakes
- a little basket for carrying things
- I liked pneumatic wheels. Smoother ride
- knee pad cover - see link below
I had 2 operations on my right foot. The knee scooter insurance loaned me (medical equipment rental) had hard wheels and only a front brake. On rough parking lot pavement I felt every jarring motion in my foot. It was obvious real quick I needed a better knee cushion. My knee was killing me in no time at all. I nearly face planted in a lot heading down hill when I jammed on the brake. The brake didn’t lock so getting on and off was tricky - an accident waiting to happen. The hard skinny wheels made it hard to navigate on padded carpet. There was no basket to hold a fanny pack, drinks, essentials, whatever.
I hope your surgery goes wheel and you’re back on your feet in no time - pun intended.
Thanks for the advice!! I appreciate it.
I bought a Drive knee scooter from Amazon open box. Nothing wrong with the scooter. The box itself was damaged. Saved some $$ that way. I'm in the process of sewing a cover for a pillow I have that perfectly fits over the pads. Since the scooter is asphalt colored, I'm going to put some reflective stripes on it, just in case....... I'll post pictures when I'm done. {Thinking ahead for when I return to wor#. I arrive in the dark every day and will have to navigate from the parking lot to the building. I want to make sure I'm visible. {Yes I have a state temporary handicapped parking pass. Unfortunately, most if not all of the "close" handicapped spots are taken by 4:30 am!!!!}
Surgery is first thing Monday morning.

Thank you all very much. I really appreciate it.
I have a really nasty bunion, as well as some arthritis causing fun things like toes overlapping each other causing difficulty wearing shoes, a tailor's cyst, to name a few. They are going in and scraping as much arthritis off the big toe as possible, then putting a plate in the ball of my foot, pins and screws to align the toes, plate on top to hold it all together. At least I will be out of the asylum for 8 weeks.
Thank you again for all the kind words and prayers. I appreciate it.

I need to take a step back from some things, like the Saloon. My job is becoming quite insane. Trust me when I tell you worse than you could ever imagine. {Threatening seasoned and excellent employees with termination if they don't leave the department. Promoting horrible incompetence. Shielding a husband and wife pair, one of whom is a manager in the department..... The list goes on. I can not wait for November 1 next year.} I have a bit of commission sewing work I need to finish. I'm also having some rather invasive surgery on one foot in the very near future.
I may lurk around occasionally but won't be posting much. Take good care and I'll catch back up when my time frees up.

Costco used to be my go-to store for sausage links for my breakfast crew.
They stopped carrying them altogether. We found a bulk supply of Smithfield links as replacements, at a membership wholesale food supply.
I'm not a sausage fan, but these are indeed the best tasting I have ever found.
We go through a whole lot of them for our monthly lodge breakfast. You may want to look into a small mom & pop butcher shop. I usually don't eat breakfast sausages because the grease irritates my GERD like crazy. The ones I buy at our local butcher shop are wonderful. They aren't much more expensive than the ones you purchase from the regular grocery store but the quality is much superior.
