  1. I WISH!! The antibiotics they have me on make me extremely sensitive to sunlight, so I get limited time outside. I sit on a stool in the kitchen to cook and to do kitchen stuff. I have an office chair in the gun room to sit in when I’m reloading or working on guns. I spend a ridiculous amount of time sitting in my LazyBoy watching the boob toob and using my laptop. I have a nice folding stool that I use for band gigs and a the few matches that I get to attend. I STILL can’t ride my stationary bike or walk very much. I use the damned knee scooter if I’m going more than a few feet, (it ain’t funny, but I can type “damned” on my cell phone and it puts up “knee scooter” in the anticipation line) and if I go to the grocery or the doctor I have to load it in and out of the car just to get around. I’m just about healed up again, (for the umpteenth time) and after three months of fighting with the orthotics people, I am supposed to be getting new equipment to help prevent this from continuing to happen. I think if I can get to Christmas without another round of infection or surgery, I’ll order me a nice rockin’ chair!!
  2. I’ve had the same old Harley for thirty-five years now. For the first ten years, it was my only transportation for all intents and purposes. We had a car or a truck that was Schoolmarm’s ride, and I had a couple of other bikes over the years, but until the fall of 2004 I rode that Harley nearly everywhere I went. We bought Schoolmarm’s Sportster on Valentine’s Day in 2000 and I bought my Buell White Lightning in December of that same year. It was a ‘98 model, made before H.D. detuned them and put the rev limiter on ‘em. The old Harley began life as a ‘79 Low Rider. It’s been rebuilt and remodeled to where nowadays when someone asks me what model it is I just say “MINE”!
  3. I read the first couple of posts and then skipped to the end! I wonder why this one wasn’t archived!!? I went back and read some of the earlier replies and got a few good chuckles too!!
  4. I’m usually sitting down these days, BUT IT AIN’T BY CHOICE!!
  5. ABSLUTELY!! Totally acceptable! There’s some advantages to using a crossdraw, particularly if you have limited experience in making a safe exchange of guns from one hand to the other. THERE IS NO DANCE REQUIRED!! There’s NOTHING in the rules that requires you to turn and gyrate when drawing the off side revolver. Learn the correct stance and technique and practice it! LEARN THE STANCE!! FORGET THE DANCE!!
  6. NOPE!! Ain’t gonna answer that!! My opinion and experience would have me offending someone. I’ll just say I wouldn’t do it!!
  7. Hammer to shape, file to fit, paint to match!
  8. My whole life!! I seldom get someone else to fix stuff for me.
  9. Not this time!! Screw gun with a 1/4” hex tip and a heat gun!!
  10. Today, I’m the appliance repair guy!! Making temporary repairs on the fridge!
  11. At least some of THEM were productive!!
  12. Cajun Shrimp last night!! Got enough left over to make me a nice shrimp po boy tomorrow!!
