My uncle used to do safety chains like that. He said he had seen to many wreaks caused by a loose trailer pulling the tow vehicle off the road. "If that trailer comes loose, better to let it go than drag me and my family with it."

My son joined the navy at 17. First time he came back home he had tattoos on each arm. I asked him how he got those since he was under age. Seems that when I signed him into the navy I emancipated him, once the artist saw he was navy no problem.

I don't think I'd worry too much about the gun. Buy brand X if you don't like it sell it and try brand Y, easy to do.
