Bladesmith, SASS 113085 Posted August 17, 2024 Posted August 17, 2024 I’m not affiliated with this company, so I don’t intend this advertising as such, more of public service announcement. I had looked for some cowboy era appropriate jeans in the past at the usual places and hadn’t turned up much. I recently ran across these, styled after 1878 denim trousers and ordered a pair. I haven’t gotten to do cowboy stuff in them yet, but was impressed by the quality. You have to add suspenders buttons yourself, but he ships them with the necessary buttons. If you look them up on Facebook, it is What Price Glory. Their main emphasis is vintage military clothing and accessories. Click the featured tab, and you’ll find the listing with info on ordering these pants, which I don’t believe have made it to their website yet. They do have a website though, so if you are not on FB I’m sure you can contact them that way to order.
Rip Snorter Posted August 17, 2024 Posted August 17, 2024 Been wearing Wranglers since Levi's first went left a lot of years ago. Last couple of times, the Wranglers, now made outside the U.S. have been pathetically fragile. Not worried about period authentic, just up to moderate ranch use. Got some Wranglers now, just bought on sale, be useful if you have time to post on durability of these. I don't wear galluses, but can work out belt loops.

My first impression is that they are very solid, noticeably heavier than my wranglers. They are also reinforced in wear areas including the knees and seat, but I’ll see how they do!
