U.S. to station Ohio-class nuclear sub at South Korea

News media talking about stationing a "boomer" SSBN in South Korea, and the articles are questioning how this could deter North Korea, since the boomers armed with Trident SLBM's have too much range to really be a deterrent.  I have to wonder if the media have their story completely straight. You see, a number of Ohio-class SSBM's have been converted to launch Tomahawk cruise missiles which can be armed with either conventional or nuclear warheads. Those could certainly be a deterrent, as they wouldn't have to back off 7,000 nm to hit North Korea!
