Cline, who was shot down and captured in February 1944, spent four months using makeshift tools to make a violin, later to be played by some of the most noted virtuosos in the United States. Last week, we had the pleasure of hosting his son Roger Cline, and his wife Betsy, so that they could see and hold the violin created by his late father.
