DoctorWho
Howdy pards, Just starting out and still sourcing a Winchester 73, but I had a Rossi 92 fall into my hand for pennies. It cycles 38spl pretty well but is mighty clunky. What are any of the current sellers with upgrade parts and what should I be looking for? On another side, is it better to send it out for a professional job? I’ve worked on firearms for years and got my Stoeger coach buttery smooth, but 73’s are new to me. My father, an antique armorer, said to just send it in for competition tuning, but my stubbornness leans on taking a crack it. Cheers guys. Colorado Coffinmaker
Dr WHO: You received an excellent referral. Cleaned up, a '92 can run amazingly fast and incredible smooth. Follow the instructions in Steve's Video and take your time. Or, conversely, contact Steve (Nate Kiowa Jones) and have him set the gun up for you. Steve is THE GURU of the '92 (A Rhyme??). Steve also had a plethora of special parts for the Rossi '92 to make it VERY user friendly.
