Palouse
I am looking for an early Uberti-made replica of a Colt 1861. Revolver manufactured prior to 1972, in like-new condition, steel grip frame. I currently shoot an Uberti-made 1861 which was proofed in 1968. Although it took many hours to correct sloppy internal finish, timing, and arbor length, the results were worth doing it again. And, I'd like to have a matched pair. I would purchase, or I have many trade options, including a new-in-box Cimarron/Uberti 1861 manufactured in 2012. Uberti converted to SAE threads about 1972, thus my request that your revolver have the appropriate proof date prior to 1972. (If close but after 1971, let's take some measurements.) I bought my current 1861 about a year ago, new, in box. It had been in a safe for 50 years, estate sold it to a flipper, then I bought it. I am hoping someone has a similar, near new 1861 which they are considering to move.
