RO-I and RO-II classes Jan. 12 at Tejas Caballeros

The Tejas Caballeros (http://tejascaballeros.net/ ) are hosting  SASS RO-I and RO-II classes on Saturday January 12, 2019 at the Determination, Texas range 7.6 miles west of Blanco. Address is 8545 Ranch Road 1623, Blanco, Texas. Directions can be found at http://tejascaballeros.net/index.php/mapdirections-to-texas-republic-ranch/. Texas Jack Daniels, SASS #8587 will be teaching the course. Course fee is $10 for RO-I and $25 for RO-II.  The RO-I class will be in the morning starting at 8:30 am and the RO-II class will start at 1:00 pm.

 

If you haven’t taken either the RO-I or RO-II class, you should take this opportunity to do so. It will teach you more about our sport and give you valuable tips on shooting and safety. If you to want to learn how to be a Timer Operator or just get a good refresher on the rules, this is the chance to do it. Territorial Governors, this is your chance to get that refresher course you are supposed to get every 2 years.

 

Each course takes 3-4 hours depending on participation.  Each student should try to bring the Shooter's Handbook and RO manuals, which can be found at https://www.sassnet.com/Shooters-Handbook-001A.php .

 

Pre-registration is not required, but we would like to know how many are coming so we are sure to have enough materials. To pre-register contact Judge Menday Coming at tp1836@prodigy.net or call him at 512-964-9955. Try to let us know by January 7^th if you think you are coming, but we will accept walk-ons.

 

This is a great opportunity to learn more about Cowboy Action Shooting and become a better posse member. And it will give you a chance, if you haven’t already done so, to see the great range at Determination, Texas and see the stages that the Tejas Caballeros shoot every 3d Saturday.
