Gunner Gatlin, SASS 10274L
From MCRGO just now: Thanks to all of you who contacted your Senators over the past 36 hours in support of the five pro-gun bills that passed the full Senate just moments ago! Thank you to Senators Meekhof, Kowall, Shirkey, Pavlov, Schmidt & Casperson for your sponsorship and leadership. Thanks as well to the NRA for their unequivocal and total support. The bills now move on to the House for consideration. Along with the House's permitless carry legislation and preemption enforcement bills, the Senate bills would mean a major leap forward in MCRGO's two decade long effort to reform Michigan gun laws. However, we still need to eliminate pistol registration. Passed the Senate today: SB 366: Provisional CPLs for 18-20 year olds SB 527: Protects Foster Families that own guns SBs: 584/585: General Exemption from PFZs for CPL holders SB 586: Defines school districts, intermediate school districts, community colleges, public libraries, and other public authorities as local units of government for the purposes of preemption. Outrider Outlaw
Still has to get passed by the House and signed by the governor. Michigan residents should contact their state representative to show support for passing their version of the senate bills. Link to comment
