The Longest Day funny

They are climbing the cliffs at Normandy.

 

They have two ways up - a mortar that fires a grappling hook, and some long skinny ladders - look to be less than eight inches wide.

 

This one boy has gone up the ladder, and he stops at the edge of the cliff and unslings his BAR, to shoot at the machine gun nest.

 

Fires about four shots, and stops and throws his gun onto the edge of the cliff, and grabs at the grass. The recoil was pushing him - and the ladder - backwards, and he almost got knocked down by his own gun.
