Jimmy Reb, SASS #54804
Just wanted to remind the cowboys in Maine that there is a petition being passed around the state to get a requirement for FFL involvment in ALL firearm transfers. They are pushing the background check on all transfers idea. They are trying to get this on the Nov. ballot. I have even spoken with some firearm owners who have said that they don't have a problem with this. Remember that confiscation is the goal in small steps. This is just one more step for them. One we need to stop. jimmy reb Link to comment
Shawnee McGrutt
Was asked to sign it yesterday. She was cute, but didn't sway me. Link to comment
Jimmy Reb, SASS #54804
I heard that they got enough signatures to put it on the ballot. We have to work hard to defeat it. Link to comment
Shawnee McGrutt
i won't vote for it. You are right, I can't believe that some of the guys I know who shoot, see no problem with this. It just might be really hard to defeat. Link to comment
Jimmy Reb, SASS #54804
I am afraid that some dealers will be pushing this because they will be able to charge a Fee! And you are right, I have spoken with Shooters who think this is OK ! We must beat the camels nose before he gets more of it in the tent! Link to comment
Shawnee McGrutt
I didn't think about the fact that some gun dealers would be for this. But money does rule, most people's actions. I will have to check with the shops I patronize, might be interesting. Link to comment
