Mean Matt McCord, SASS #24683
I have a couple of pairs of stovepipe boots that have collapsed some around the ankles (didn't know about the hanging them upside down method of storing them until recently). Any of y'all know of ways to restore them, if possible, so that they don't sag so much? Thank you.
Jackson Rose, SASS #45478
Get them wet, as in soaked. Then hang them upside down . Attach some weight to the finger pulls to pull the wrinkles out. Let dry thoroughly. Apply shoe polish, no oil or lexol or softening agents.
