5-Toes Posted September 8, 2012 Share Posted September 8, 2012 Two weeks ago I posted that I was looking for a Gunsmith to work up my L/A rifle & S/S shotgun. Next day I got a P/M from "Moose", who gave me info on a guy called "Black Jack Ed", he told me Ed was the best around for S'gun work. I called Ed and after a short talk decided to make the 2 hr drive to drop off my gear. I arrived and Ed told me what he would do, how it would improve my guns and gave me an estimate. I left feeling I was dealing with someone who knew his stuff. In less than a week I called to check on my guns and found they were finished. Another ride in the country and I picked them up. They were slick as Zorro's hat-band. The S'gun opened with a snap of the wrist and the rifle had lost all it's "bumps", Ed also added a front sight that jumps out at you. That being said I would highly recommend Black Jack Ed 845/453-4488, for any Cowboy gun work you may have.Ed is located in Marlboro, NY near Newburg. Thanks to the SASS Wire for a great Forum.
