I got my birth certificate at City Hall, passport pictures and went to the Manchester Post Office which has a person to take applications. I got there at 3:53 and saw the sign which effectively said "walkins 9:30 to noon, appontments 1:30 to 4" Uh-oh. I meekly said "Can I make an appointment?" The clerk said "when would you like it?" while opening her book. Again, meekly, I said "Now?" She looked at what I had in my hands and said "You really do have all your stuff ready.
