Deadly Sharpshooter Posted December 21, 2011 Share Posted December 21, 2011 Howdy Pards, The Last Stand is coming up fast, and I wanted to let you know that there are two RO courses being offered there; a Wild Bunch Action Shooting course (RO1) and a Cowboy Action Shooting RO1 course as described below. SASS WILD BUNCH ACTION SHOOTING RANGE OFFICER CERTIFICATION TRAINING Prerequisites for course attendance are: Be a current SASS member Must be a current SASS CAS ROII (this may be waived if you are a certified RO in another shooting disciple) A complete familiarization of all SASS WBAS training documents A understanding of the function and operation of all SASS WBAS legal firearms Fulfilling the above prerequisites will greatly enhance each participants successful completion of the course, and allow for continuity and consistency of training as well. What: Wild Bunch Action Shooting Range Officer Certification Training Where: Wyngate by Wyndham Hotel – Meeting Room When: Thursday January 5th, 2011 Cost: $30.00 Schedule: 2:00 pm to 7:00 pmIn order to be certified as a WBAS RO each participant must pass both a written and practical tests. Those who successfully complete the course will receive a WBAS RO pin. Before attending the WBAS RO certification training, you should: 1. Copy and Paste this link into your browser http://sassnet.com/wildbunch/wbRules.php and print a copy of the SASS Wild Bunch Handbook version 4.2. 2. Read the Handbook. 3. Read the Handbook again. 4. Bring the (old, ratty, well worn, tattered, highlighted, dog eared and much READ) Handbook with you to the training. 5. Bring note taking materials to the training. During the written test you may refer to your notes. You may NOT use your copy of the WBAS Handbook while taking the test. 6. Bring any snacks or drinks you may want. 7. Do not bring any firearms or ammunition to the class. The course consists of a power point presentation as well as time set aside for questions, a 24 question written test, and a range oriented practical test. Course participants must pass both phases of the training to be certified. The answers to every question on the written test, as well as every facet of the practical test are found in the Handbook........so, READ THE HANDBOOK!! Upon successfully completing the course you will receive your WBAS RO Pin. We will be limited in the number of participants we can accommodate. AND Cowboy Action Shooting RO1 course. If you haven't taken this yet, you should.
