Silver City Marshall Herk Lamson(Henry Fonda) isn't in it all the time but he visits his deputy Clay Mcord (Alan Case) in all the episodes. Mcord is a "sharp shootin' storekeeper who is talked into being Lamson's deputy. There's a rippin' jazz guitar in the background, awesome guitar player!
