Oklahomabound
Any one out there have a Black Powder or 777 load for 20 gauge shotshells, if so please PM me. The wife, Ms. Mary Matilda is converting over to Frontier Cartridge and has 2 Stoeger SXS's. Thanks for your input. Okb
William Waddy
I have loaded 20g bp shotshells for my wife and have good recipe. I use as much bp as will allow the shell to be crimped, using the following components. Over the powder I place a think over-powder card wad and then the cup section only of a regular remington plastic wad (I cut off and dispose of the entire cushion section of the wad). Next 7/8 oz. shot, then thin overshot card, then crimp. This load sounds like thunder and kicks like a 22 rifle. Impresses the boys without damaging the lady shooter. A very nice load.
