Trigger Mike
I found a Colt SP1 today. If it has been fired it was cleaned awful well afterwards. No carbon in the crevices of the chamber at all. The bufer spring had not even been taken out so long the stop bottun was stuck and had to be oiled some. The cleaning kit was still in plastic in the butt. One question I have it the bolt was chrome, should it have been? They wanted 1130.

T. H. O' Sullivan
The original civilian SP1 bolts and carriers were not chromed. Sounds like a replacement bolt. Just for price information a mint unfired SP1 would run about $1450 or so, and with original box, papers the price goes up. While I was still active duty I bought my first AR15 back in 1988. It was an AR15 A2 HBAR and paid $850 for it. It was a "slab side" receiver (no mag release fence) just like the SP1 rifle. T.H. O'Sullivan
