Parler wasn't taken down for any violations of terms of service anymore than the many firearm businesses that have had banks close down their accounts and refuse financial transations. Amazon had no legal exposure that they were "worried" about. Parler was suddenly a growing threat to Twitter and Facebook monopolies and allowed conservative voices and content so it was taken out. Google, Apple, and Amazon all acted in concert to take them down. Evidently per the CEO of Parler even their email providers, law firm, or vendors, and alternative business services have suddenly within 48 hrs all cut services and business with them. If you think that didn't involve coordination then I've got a bridge to sell you in Brooklyn. If you don't see a pattern of abusive business practices then you really don't want to see it. If what has been happening to more and more businesses and individuals doesn't disturb you.....................

If you have a way to play MP3's via your phone or other device connected to your vehicles radio via bluetooth or plug in all you have to do is put the CD in your laptop or desktop and rip the tracks into MP3's then transfer them to your phone or MP3 device player.

Got a new carry piece to add to my two twenty year old regular carry guns I decided it was time to revamp my EDC. Got a Glock 43x, added Ameriglo night sights, Talon Pro grips, polished the connector, replaced the mag catch with a metal one, and added Shield Arms 15 round flush fit magazines. So now have a carry piece smaller and lighter than my Glock 19 with the same magazine capacity. Since I was reducing weight and size but with the same capacity and caliber, decided to redo the rest of my EDC - dropping multitool from belt and multitool accessories from pocket, as well as getting rid of old flashlight and extra battery in pocket. Adding new brighter 1000 lumen flashlight that is blinding on high in pouch on belt, also gel pepper spray in pouch on belt. Then got a small shoulder bag that can also be worn as a fanny pack and in that will put in a days worth of meds, otc pain meds, antiboitic ointment, an israeli bandage, a RAT tourniquet, extra batteries for cell phone and flashlight, charging cords and plugs for cell phone, multitool and accessories. The bag can go in car or on bike or with me. On person in pockets are keys, Kershaw Boa knife, wallet and checkbook, with cell phone in pouch clipped on pocket while on my belt will be a gun, flashlight, and gel spray. Told my younger brother former police officer I was updating my EDC and he said, "About time old man." Really like the way this gun feels in my hand and shoots.

Looking more and more like a coordinated hit on Parler, not only does Amazon drop them at a time they were seeing record growth, and not only does both Google and Apple drop them from their app stores when people were downloading their app in record numbers (is it capitalistic to shut down a product that is seeing unprecedented demand by your users), but now it turns out that many of their venders and even email providers are dropping them all at the same time. Sounds like some phone calls were made and threats veiled or not so veiled were made to close off even more access, money, and support. There is a name for such practices - it isn't capitalism, or fair competition, now what was it......oh yeah monopolistic and racketeering. Gee, I think those are illegal. Edit to add, now it seems that the CEO of Parler says they may be done, as the loss of other venders and alternatives that they were counting on for support may be more than they can overcome.

CEO of Parler says they will be back up in a week after moving all their software and programing to another server as they did not rely on Amazon for anything other than server space. But they are definately badly hurt - losing access to people through the app stores for Google and Apple means they will lose a lot of potential new users as a lot of people want access through a one click app on their phone vs. using a browser. And being down for a week at least will probably lead to some people leaving as will rumors on the internet that "Parler is done." So they aren't killed off, but they are badly damaged and their potential future growth has taken a severe hit. And I think that was the point to damage them now right when so many people were giving them a serious look and to damage their future growth by taking them off Google and Apple app stores. This was definately a coordinated hit job by big tech.

Just two thoughts: I would think it is in SASS interests to promote the sport through as many social media platforms as possible, and one would think that a presence especially on platforms that are gun friendly would be a win as the audience would in general be more supportive and likely to show interest that might lead to active participation. And, given the way the wind is blowing in politics and dominate social media, minimizing the potential dangers is not the wisest policy. So keeping as many options open as possible and winning new friends is a good thing.

Three multi-trillion dollar companies (Apple, Google, and Amazon) coordinating with two other multi-trillion dollar companies (Facebook and Twitter) to destroy any competition.

They said if you don't like Facebook or Twitter build your own. So Gab and Parler started to build their own. Then the two principle cell phone software companies banned Gabs and now Parlers apps from their app stores thus severly hampering there ability to compete with Facebook and Twitter. And Gabs internet provider refused them server space in an attempt to close them down so Gab bought their own servers. Now Parlers internet provider Amazon is reportedly going to kick them off their servers and to survive Parler will have to build or buy their own servers. There are limits per law about financial contributions and in kind contributions that have financial value to candidates for public office. Google skewed search results to favor one candidate, Facebook banned and censored individuals and posts of one particular candidate and their supporters more than the other. Twitter shut down and banned and locked out and shadow banned supporters of one particular candidate over another. The result was equivalent to billions of dollars in contributions to one candidate. Twitter, Facebook, and Google/Youtube enjoy special legal protections from the federal government protecting them from lawsuits and legal actions that they would otherwise be subject to under the regulatory notion that they are merely providing platforms for conduits of information and are not therefore liable for being sued for information on their platforms - yet it turns out that they are heavily censoring, limiting, and shaping all the information on their platforms effectively being content providers and not just platforms. (imagine if Verizon censored your texts, if Apple edited or deleted your emails, or AT&T disconnected you mid-phone call if they deemed you were saying something they disagreed with). You don't like it, build your own phone company - you did - well oops the power company just cut you off - so build your own power company. Additionally when these companies have had competion from other companies they have bought them and they control the vast majority of all search traffic and social media on the internet. They also use their money, power, and influence to bend politicians to their will. These are all hallmarks of monopolies that prevent competitors from arising to be viable alternatives. Sure one can pretend to be blind to all this and just say - it's a free market - even when the evidence says otherwise. Given that one party now controls the entire national government and that one party is the one supported by Twitter, Facebook, Google, Apple, and Amazon there is obviously nothing going to be done to reign in the monopolistic actions of these companies receiving special government protections. But one can point it out til one is banned or censored and so that others can enjoy some of their peers attempt to ridicule your objections by attempting to ignore or minimize the issues with empty platitudes like - they are private companies and it's a free country - as if the actions of these huge multi-trillion dollar companies that enjoy special government protections have no real world impacts or consequences and as if they are not acting as effective monopolies.

I left Facebook, never was on Twitter. Dropped Chrome and Explorer for Brave. Dropped Google for DuckDuckGo. Social media may be crap but it is very influential in shaping the culture and politics is downstream from culture. So if one side is effectively excluded from shaping the culture and getting their views out in popular social media it is essentially unilateral surrender to the other sides politics if one leaves the field of play. So I support the creation of alternative social media as a means to allow people to express their views and to influence the culture and politics.

There is Gab and MeWe too. Parler has been banned like Gab from Google App store and liberals are lobbying to have it removed from the Apple App store too. Interesting to see how far this current wave of social media purging extends. Sooner or later they will ban firearms from social media and then the internet. Even SASS is blocked on many company and even some public wifi.
