Hmmm, let's recap.  There is a ground hog in residence at the gun range and the resident owners couldn't off him with a gun. It sure is a fortuitous happenstance the the owners are bringing in a butt load of help on Oct. 4-5. ;)

There were extenuating circumstances. Shoot the bugger from 200 yards and put a hole through the Hill House or camo up the golf cart and stalk in close. So I guess we might need some help. We called this guy but he was not much help.

  2. As we where doing some range maintenance we found that a Ground Hog had taken up residence under the Hill Cabin right under Copperhead Joe and Catatonics room.
We went through the options of getting rid of the critter.
    1. 10 gallons of a 50/50 gas diesel mix down in his hole.

    2. 5 pounds of Tannerite.

    3. We snipe the little bugger.

We decided that the outcome of option 1&2 while having a Surefire outcome might damage the hill cabin.
The third option was put into play.

The little bugger is still alive.
    Maybe next time.

  3. Ambush at Cavern Cove is in its 28th year! We are one of the longest running annual matches in SASS. We have had this match on the first weekend in October, first weekend being the first Sunday, for 26 of the 28 years the match has been running.

The match registration is open. The registration form is on our website. https://www.northalabamaregulators.com/_files/ugd/e76cb2_9f1be325d8244de2a712f2148edf8a33.pdf

Please print it off and mail it in.

Camping is full, as it always is.

We will have Molly's buckles for our Regional Winners

As of right now we are planning on two flights of shooters.

I could use a few volunteers to help out with the match.

I need a couple of people to run the long-range side match.

I could use a couple of volunteers to help with Shooter Sign in and door prizes.

If there is somebody out there who is a graphics designer / artist and is interested in a side job out please reach out to me via PM.

Note for those staying on the range. There will be no breakfast at the range.

Our food vendor experienced a poor showing for breakfast and has declined to offer breakfast.

  4. I shot it. It was usually 10 rifle, (9 on a couple of stages), 30 pistol and, very annoyingly, 6 shotgun. My 97's are all unmodified from the way they were made, and none of them holds 6 rounds.

To have a stage convention that requires you to modify your gun if you don't have one of the random ones that hold six from the factory is not right.

To be honest, if I ever make it back to EoT, I prolly won't bother with Wild Bunch again for that very reason.

Use B&P 2.5 inch shells, no modifications needed.
  5. I have bought and sold a bunch of things on the wire.. I've only had two deals that went bad. One was buying an 1897 Winchester copy the gun was not as represented the seller would not take the gun back. Karma truly was a bitch for this fella, he had some things in his life go wrong after that. The second was I paid for a rifle the fella never shipped it I had to get the police involved in that one

  6. "And you have yours posted where?"

    you're kidding

    Red Cent

I believe what is being referred to is the a lot of us have location posted and it shows up on the left side under the member info. Yours does not. it appears at the bottom in the quotes area.

  7. I have an AWA Lightening. My rifle apparently has an issue with the timer. It shoots just fine off the clock. I run it fast, I mean real fast.

The Buzzer goes off and it gets all kinda crazy.

Yes the 45 Colt version has blow back issues.
