I had another one. I don't know where it went.

Can't decide between a single cup

    And a small pot

I went the single cup route. Good for a single cup, and less storage space taken

Have absolutely no interest in a cappuccino/latte/whatever else you have to foam the milk for

But a moka pot is on my list

You foam for the cappuccino. Good stuff, either way, but I won't judge. I would enjoy a larger espresso maker like the one you posted.

And I keep flip flopping on a coffee grinder. Do I really want to get that involved?

Yes, you do. It really isn't that much more work, and worth the effort. Definitely go the burr route, though. Much more consistent grind.

I stop short of being like a doctor I served with in the Guard who roasted his own beans. That's too much even for me.

Is that why I have a Mr Coffee, AND a stove top percolator, AND two French presses, AND a speckleware cowboy coffee pot, AND several individual packets of instant?

Get another french press, a pour over maker, an electric espresso and cappuccino maker, a stove top espresso maker and a burr grinder, and you'll be set! Although you do have me on the speckleware coffee pot!

They WERE great and I really enjoyed their music, but NONE of them had the range, power, or versatility of Anne Wilson!

And after more than fifty years, SHE’S STILL GOING STRONG!!

If you go on YouTube much, search for a channel called "the charismatic voice." It's an award winning professional opera singer and voice teacher who does reaction / analysis videos of different rock acts. She has done several videos featuring Heart, and if she's to be believed, yeah, Ann Wilson is pretty good. (understatement)

Part of the problem with the Martin B-26 was the fact that it was initially placarded to land at too LOW a speed, which led to stalls and crashes! It had such a bad reputation that AAF Chief Hap Arnold asked Jackie Cochran to fly the plane, his thinking being that "if a woman could fly it" male pilots could. What Cochran found was that the approach and landing speeds needed to be higher.  In addition, Martin added length to the wings, which increased the surface area, and decreased the stall speed. After the modifications, and changes to flying speeds, the B-26 became an excellent medium bomber.

The A-26, later redesignated the B-26 Invader was a much better attack bomber, and a number were used in Korea, with a bunch more .50 cal. MG's in the nose, and IIRC some 20mm as well. Yes, a number were converted to civilian business planes. (The plane in James Garner's movie, "Cash McCall" was just such a plushed-up B-26.

Don’t forget Invaders were also used in Vietnam.

Japanese pilots did not like attacking American heavy bombers.  They considered them well armed and hard to shoot down

Since you seem to not know the story of “Old 666” and Zeamer’s Eager Beavers, let me tell you about them. Grab a beverage and enjoy:

There are a couple of books on the subject as well.

The B-17, like the DC-3/C-47 and PBY Catalina, were all known to be easy aircraft to fly.

Not so much when flying alone and attacked by a horde of zeros and afterward.

@Calamity Kris already mentioned the band YES:

However; in addition, these other two BANDS ruled the Progressive Rock genre.

    ELP

    King Crimson

I think Peter Gabriel era Genesis and Rush post John Rutsey might vie for some credit on the prog rock scene.

LtCol Douglas Hamilton, 102 years old and change flew C-47 over Normandy the day BEFORE D Day, dropping pathfinder troops behind the lines to "raise scatter hell", the flew several more missions on D-Day.   I'm told he ended up flying B-25 bombers later on

I had a cousin, considerably older than I, who flew B-25 and B-26 bombers in the Pacific.  He bought a B-26 and "Winnibago-ized" it into a corporate plane later on.

That might have been the A-26, later changed to B-26, Invader. Many were turned into corporate aircraft later.

    Yes

    Genesis

    David Bowie

I was going to add Genesis, The Monkees, and Bowie this morning. Good calls all the way around.

  11. The aircraft initially earned a bad reputation due to its necessarily high approach speeds, among other things. Interestingly, MOH recipient Jay Zeamer Jr. failed to check out as pilot in command of B-26s. He had no such problems with B-17s.

Ann Wilson was, and may still be, one of the best female vocalists of all time. Nancy Wilson (her sister) is one of the most accomplished female guitarists of all time. Together, they both form Heart. If you've never heard them, you're missing out on gem of a band.

Absolutely! Watch them live doing 'Crazy On You' or 'Barracuda' back in the day, or their cover of 'Stairway to Heaven' in honor of Led Zeppelin at the Kennedy Center Honors more recently, and it leaves little doubt as to their talent.

    Hey Doc.

Post some pics of your models!

I used to build them also. Still have some of the race car models because they were the most recent (30 years ago). Still have all of the air brush stuff and other modeling tools, paints, etc., etc.,, in a tackle box. REAL good chance that all that stuff is dried up and rock solid now. Lost the tanks, ships and airplane models somewhere along the road of life.

I'll get some pics up when I can although none of them say Pat Riot! :P

I'll see what I can do
