  1. How easy is it or is it possible to easily change the sights on that pistol?
  2. I have only ever bought a couple of things from Gun Broker so I am not an avid user but I do like to go on there and look around. Recently when I access the site they tell me that they cannot verify my name or address, which I find rather odd since I have had an account with them for years. 8 or 9 years and have had 3 different addresses in that time. Have any of you had to proof yourself or verify your accounts with them? I have never heard of this. Here is what they “require”: We were unable to verify the name and address with which you registered. Please provide two forms of identification that match the name and address you have listed on your account before your account can be activated. One document must be a photo ID. You will also need to take a photo of yourself to attach to this message holding a photo ID like a driver's license as verification. END It goes on further but this is the gist of it. I am very tempted to tell them to pound sand, but I decided to see what some of you experienced GB users think. I have no idea how good their site security is. To me this almost reeks of a scam site but I did contact them through their site. What say you GB users?
  3. I will. Take good care and follow your doctor’s directions Clay. This is nothing to fool with. Trust me.
  4. Exactly Believe it or not this Henry is fun as all get out to shoot. I belong to a gun range where they have steel targets of all sorts from 15 to 100 yards. Smacking steel with 255 grain 45’s at 100 yards is a blast. Pun intended. Dang fumble fingers
  5. The 2 top helmets weren’t mine, but thank you. I have been rudely introduced to pavement and concrete a number of times. Each time my helmet struck the ground violently. I do wish I had photos of them all.
  6. It was a welcome sight to see the pilot boarding our ship when returning home from sea.
  7. In California I actively helped in fighting the helmet laws. We lost, but we fought hard. I usually wore a helmet but occasionally I loved going without one, especially down by the beach. Here is a framed poster from the last Poster Run I went on to fight the law in 91. In 92 the use helmets became mandatory. I circled myself in this picture. There were more than twice the people at this event but they couldn’t fit everyone into the picture.
  8. I think the Henry feels bulkier but the weight is okay. It feels like it is about a half pound heavier than my Winchester 94 carbine and about equal to my Marlin 336, but it’s girth or width makes it seem heavier. I added some weight to mine by adding a scope and accessories. -WARNING- The following images may cause discomfort and maybe even unpleasant physical manifestations. Should this occur, turn away and ask a trusted family member or friend to clear the screen for you.
  9. I have a Henry X model - definitely not a SASS gun - but right out of the box it had and has the smoothest action I have ever encountered on a lever action rifle. They have a long lever throw, just like a Winchester ‘94 only a heck of a lot smoother.
  10. Did I say everyone must wear a helmet? No, I didn’t.
  11. Henry is offering SASS members custom badge number engraving on their Big Boy model. https://www.henryusa.com/sass/
  12. Reasons to wear a helmet: From AcidCow.com "This Is Why You Wear A Full Helmet. My Friend Was Hit By Someone Who Ran A Red Light. If He Had Wore A Skull Cap, He'd Have No Lower Jaw" From My Pictures - My helmets Same helmet - Disassembled I have another couple of helmet picks from my last crash but can’t find them. Maybe later.
  13. Amazingly enough I am sometimes able to open and view FB if I do not try to do anything but look. I think the poster (below) is making a comparison of 1915 and how the lady pictured is traveling like it’s 1915. She just doesn’t convey it well. screenshot from FB
  14. I am truly glad it starts out as a quality frame and slide. All too often lately I see “custom” 1911s built on Rock Island guns. Thanks Pards
  15. The .40 shoots .40 S&W. Technically you are correct. The G22says “.40” on the slide but on their website they do state “.40 S&W” on the main description of the Glock 22 that shoots .40 S&W. Snippets of screenshots from Glock’s website
  16. I would love to get a bunch of fortune cookies with that “fortune” inside to pass out to people that deserve a special cookie.
  17. I have purchased mystery box items a couple of times…actually, 5 times. In each instance I was disappointed. Mystery Box items are overstock that couldn’t be sold in most cases. This is my opinion. A supposition. Since it’s 5 to 0 I think I may be onto something here.
