Pojoaque Pete, SASS #60822 Posted March 22, 2006 Posted March 22, 2006 Howdy Pards - Was wondering if it's possible to have a swap meet at EOT to trade out clothes, leather, etc. I'm sure lots of us have stuff we don't use any more. Thanks, PP
Blackjack Moore #23758 Posted March 24, 2006 Posted March 24, 2006 That's very good idea, but I would guess that the sutlers will have a fit, they have to make a living selling goods, and this could hurt some sales to several. Blackey Cole Posted March 24, 2006 Posted March 24, 2006 I once thaught about renting a space and setting up a consignment booth. And logging in the items for sale and having someone there to accept payment and add a small commission for the service but I don't have anyone to sit in the tent/booth while I am shooting.
Travis Posted March 26, 2006 Posted March 26, 2006 Pojoaque Pete why don't you contact SASS Headquarters and ask about it. It sounds like a good way to exchange goods. We have tried something like it in the past at other events and the stuff goes fast.
Pojoaque Pete, SASS #60822 Posted April 24, 2006 Author Posted April 24, 2006 I'll check with them at Founder's Ranch this weekend. Not trying to compete with the suttler's, just trying to clean out the closet. Not much market for cowboy clothes/leather outside of SASS. PP
Pie Crust, SASS Life #56025 Posted May 1, 2006 Posted May 1, 2006 Did you have any luck on this? Inquiring minds want to know.
