Blackie Lawless Posted May 7, 2020 Posted May 7, 2020 I've been thinking of mounting a Leatherwood Hi-lux 6x scope on my Petersoli rolling block 45-70. After reading some of the reviews some say the supplied scope rings aren't so good and you should get others. I was wondering if anyone had any experience with this and what they did. Any advice is appreciated
Tommy Reb Posted May 7, 2020 Posted May 7, 2020 Hello Blackie. I have a couple of the Leatherwood Malcolm 6X scopes and the scopes themselves are fine. But, yes, the rings are junk. I replaced the rings with D Z Arms Unertl style rings. Those are very nice. Of course, I now have more invested in rings than in the scopes. TR

TR Thanks TR but I was hoping the rings wouldn't be more $ than the scope itself since I use it so infrequently
