tumbleweed tess
This has been a real hair puller but never surrender ,A friend brought over a 66 like mine this other 66 still has the factory ladle we swaped it with my new one and the gun ran like a swiss watch Now what was the problem? Well the new ladle has a deep dish that lets the tab extend furthur into the gun to support the rim ,a good thing ?? not so good as the tab has to be bent forward to prevent a round from entering to far, simple fix ?? nope! buy bending the tab you now allow the case to slide toward the deep dish port opening and this lets the round cock .The factory ladle is not deep dished So I ordered a factory ladle and will beef it up Bad design the aftermarket people should not have let this happen. I am on the road to a proper working gun.
Springfield Slim SASS #24733
I'm betting the deep dish ladle is shorter than your original and that is why you had to bend the tab. Probably works fine in the style 66 is was intended for. Uberti should not have ever changed their original reinforced tab design.
