Hawknose Bill
My SXS is really hard to break open after a shot. The spent shells bind up and I practically have to break it open over my knee. Any suggestions about what to do about it? It's a Baikal MP220 and it's brand new - just got done shooting it for the first time. Well, first off, I changed from the cheap Winchester Universals and got some cheap Remingtons. Breech opened far easier. Then I got some cocking levers from Papa Dave (they just came in the mail today) and installed them (took about 10 minutes). The breech opens all the way, like it's supposed to! Then took 'er out to giver 'eer a go. Fired 4 shots with Remmies and the breech popped right open. Fired 4 Winchester Universals and, even though it was still tight (but not as tight as before), I could open it with a sharp snap. Looks like the combination of the new cocking levers and different shells solved my dilemma!!
