Wagon Box Willy
Howdy folks, I seem to recall seeing somewhere that there was a replacement ejector spring for the 1875 outlaw in Stainless Steel but I can't seem to find it on the web anywhere. Am I going nuts or is there such a thing?
MARSHAL W.E. BGood SASS 18429
Willy...when I got each of my 1875's, the ejector springs were horrible, way too heavy and strong, stiff, binding, etc. I took the shroud off, took it to my good local True Value Hardware store where they had a display of multiple kinds of springs. I found a light-weight aluminum spring about 3 inches long that fit down the shroud hole perfectly. Putting three of them in together worked great (no, they don't override each other's ends), nice light draw-back to push out the cartridge, no binding, no rust, and I can push the rod wwwaaaaayyy through the cylinder. It's been 12 years in there, still going just fine. Hope this helps. Regards, BGood
Wagon Box Willy
Thanks. I found these on the Wolf site and I think this is what I was referring to. Anyone know if these will fit an 1875? Colt SAA Stainless Steel Ejector Springs
