My favorite watering hole/restaurant just changed their menu and has a grilled crab and cheese sandwich. Thanks for helping me decide what to have next time I go there.
Give us a report if you will, Allie. If I get to my favorite seafood market, I may pick up some crab meat and try it.

I just got home from Kroger, now I have to go back

Celery stalks stuffed with ranch chip dip, and fancy crackers with summer sausage on top,
and/or smoked slamon and crackers.

On a below zero day in the deer blind together, my daughter and I discovered our peanut butter and jelly sandwiches were frozen! We grilled them on the buddy heater to thaw them out. Came off toasted and smelling great. Best sandwiches we ever ate.
Cold weather generally makes food taste better. But that said, PB&J is good stuff.

Crab is delicate so one would want to watch what kind of cheese was used.,
so it didn't overpower the crab meat. Salmon flakes might be a little stronger
flavor, but crab sounds better to me.
A word of caution: DO NOT USE LIMBERGER CHEESE FOR GRILLING.

If you add bacon fat, can it still be called a grilled CHEESE sammish?
Would it not become a grilled CHEESE & BACON FAT sammish?

Great Lakes, like most every other military post, is selected for the record of high summer temperatures, low winter temperatures, and disagreeable amounts of rainfall, snowfall, or sunshine. That is why they spend so much money building Officer's clubs, NCO clubs and long drill fields. Mix in the toughest NCOs and Viola, you got military nirvana.

Can you imagining some EMT people having to rescue somebody with a medical situation
at the top of the tower. It could happen you know. How would you get them down?

I like wool over some other insulation for clothing.
Holds the warmth, even if it gets wet. Down won't do that.
However, wool is heaver than the feathers.
