  1. This SKB belonged to a good friend of mine who bought it new in the eighties to hunt grouse with in eastern Ohio. Back then there was grouse in Ohio.

This gun is untouched by anyone for cowboy shooting.

    26” barrels choked Mod/IC.
there are no cracks and is tight. Double Lug. $1500 plus shipping in the states.

  2. Model 280 SKB.

This model 280 means English (straight) stock. Beaver tail forearm.
this gun is cowboy ready been all slicked up, chambers beveled, shells drop out very easily, lever has been slightly bent for easier opening. 20” barrels with center bead. Was professionally worked on. I am pretty sure by who but since I’m not sure will not say. Barrels have double lug. Barrels have notch for helping barrels stay open when carrying.
    $1500.00 plus shipping.

    No cracks in wood.

  3. 32 you say! Serious you say! Hardcore you say! With weather this warm, me and Thunder Creek will prolly go down to the creek and bust a hole in the ice and go swimmin' jus ta cool off after the shoot. Ya with me Thunder? Don't worry though, Rye and Coffinmaker will be sittin by the heater all rolled up in their blankees eatin' their cookies and drinkin warm milk. They'll prolly be sendin' love notes ta each other full of a bunch of smiley faces. :P :P :P

I'm with ya! All the heat ya need is in the guns!

  4. Hornady One Shot for me! I've loaded probably over a thousand rifle rounds and load all my 44-40 cowboy stuff with it and have never had

to wipe any case after loading and have had all go bang.

  5. I bought two with the hopes of using them on my Dillon 550. (with a price of $29.99 each I couldn't help myself) Here are my results.

    1) I seemed to get varying powder charges with the first one. There seemed to be a lot of play in the lever that wouldn't give a me a consistent weight. (part of that was the way I had the powder funnel flaring the case mouth.) I hot glued the arm to remove the play.

    2) I set up the second one to weigh grits. Worked fine for that.

    3) Tried to install both on Dillon tool head. No Go, they won't fit. Put second one back in the box and put it on the shelf.

    4) Ordered a Dillon powder measure for the Black Powder set it up and installed one Dillon and one Lee.

All is good in the Black powder loading world for me loading 44-40. One note, put in the large powder bar in the Dillon. The volume needed for the 44-40's with grits filler maxed out the small bar and with it opened all the way up it seemed to always spill some powder and make a mess.

The large bar works much better. I have only loaded about 150 rounds but it look like it will work fine.

Did it make a difference with what size black? 2f or 3f.

  6. I like to go the range at least once a month to shoot my S&W M&P 9mm, my S&W Model 67, Model 60, Ruger LC9s, and my Ruger mini 14. My favorite "modern" guns.

How much time do you put in on your Non-Cas guns??

    Rye ;)

Usually at least twice a month. In the non cowboy shooting months.

    If it's not raining!

  7. Hey Dawg I know you secretly love shooting smokeless as you sometimes do so in your honor I'll be shooting the "new" stuff!! :P

Hang in there, hope all is going well! BTW, how cute are the nurses???? :D

Rye, are you that desperate that you would have an operation just to check out the nurses??
