  1. I am reading a book on Ike Eisenhower and D-Day. his son, John, graduated West Point on June 5, 1944 and General Marshall arranged for him to go to England and visit his dad. 2nd Lt John Eisenhower asked his father what should do if they meet an officer than ranked higher than him but not as high as his dad. should he salute first?  Gen eisenhower told him son everybody is ranked higher than you  but nobody is ranked as high as me. don’t worry about it!

  2. that is Judge Benoist listening to Tip and John Wayne argue while Quail hunting at Natchez during the filming. I have lots of pictures of the cadets being taught to be in the battle scenes. There is an autograph picture to the the cadets saying they are the only ones that ever made him run

  3. Vice Admiral Tip Merrill, Navy Cross holder, lived in Natchez and was President of Jefferson Military College at Washington, MS. He had became friends with John Ford in the War. We were told he talked Ford into filming The VMI battle scenes there in Natchez.

  4. according to what I attached from Turnbull Restoration site individuals can’t ship their personal Rugers to a gunsmith for action jobs unless they go through an FFL. Seems like UPS and Fed Ex made their own rules that they won’t take them. I am not trying to sell anything just get worked on. anyone been through this? Irish ☘️ Pat

  5. I have a private line that rings direct in my office and does not go through the secretaries and switchboard. It is my private line. Wouldn’t you know it is one digit off from the donut shop!!! half my super secret calls are for donuts. One wrong number recognized my voice and was convinced that I had gone to work at the donut shop and was not at the bank any longer.  Irish ☘️ Pat

  6. this is a great deal on a like new hammer  gun that is hard to find. I have two and have been very impressed by mine. they are copied from a Colt 1878 10 gauge shotgun that make them extra strong in 12 gauge and they can handle 3 inch buckshot if you are tough enough
