That's something I've wondered about.
Cop shows. In the middle of their interrogation, the door will swing open and somebody in a suit will come in and tell the suspect, "Don't say another word", and then start in on the cop about, "My client blah blah blah". And frequently the suspect will look up at the guy in the suit and say, "Who are you?"
According to the Miranda card that Officer Malloy always used, "If YOU DESIRE and cannot afford one, a lawyer will be appointed..."
That just sounds like the suspect has to want a lawyer. Not the suspect's boss. Not the suspect's father. Not the ambulance chaser sitting outside the squad room. The suspect has to want one, and then ask for one.
Ain't that the way it works?
Yes

No, but, with me it depended on the situation. Have had attorney show up at request of parents and since the suspect, over 18, did not request an attorney, he don't come into my interrogation room till the suspect actually asked for one.

Done a few, but I still laugh at the one my dad did when he was a motorcycle cop back in the 50's.
Mid March as roll call was over dad would go out to his wheel and attempt to start it. (Back then bikes started by a foot crank) Anyway, the bike would never start and the sergeant would watch as dad cussed the heck out of the bike. This went on for weeks. Finally on April 1st, April fools day of course, once again dad was cranking the ole Harley which would not start as usual. As the sergeant watched again shaking his head, dad pulled out the revolver and began shooting the bike. The sergeant became unglued as all the other wheelmen watched laughing who were in on it. You see, dad unplugged the spark plug wires all the time so the bike would never start. This time the same, but the gun was loaded with blanks. I never heard the rest of the story how the sergeant handled it other than the guys told me he began laughing himself once he realized what had been pulled on him. As I understand it the sergeant was a prankster like every other cop.

How many genders are there 2020?However, gender isn't about someone's anatomy, it is about who they know them self to be. There are many different gender identities, including male, female, transgender, gender neutral, non-binary, agender, pangender, genderqueer, two-spirit, third gender, and all, none or a combination of these.Like I said before, out here in the country when something is born we lift it up and say, boy or girl. That's the end of that.-

My wife hates blue, purple, pink etc guns. Everytime I show her one in a magazine she rolls her eyes and makes a gagging noise. And she’s not really a shooter.
That's because those colors, especially pink, ruin a gun.

Got mine Thursday. Only 2 side-effects so far. Was up in Columbia V.A. and the first effect afterwards apparently I went to a new pie store and bought 2 pies. Strawberry Rhubarb and a French Silk. 2nd effect was a tender arm for about 8 hours then it was gone. I actually appreciated the first effect because it caused me to forget all about the 2nd effect. That's how us old geezer's function.
