They have decided that the murder bullet was from a 380.

    Normally a 380 fires a 90 or 95 grain solid bullet. While normally a 9 mm Luger fires a 115 to 147 grain bullet.

But since they both fire a .355 bullet I don't see why I could not load a 90 grain 380 bullet into my 9 mm. And then the great ballistics experts would determine that he had been killed with the 380, and they would not be looking for me. Yay.

Or, I could load a 115 bullet into my 380, and they would be looking for a killer with a Luger, and ignore my Browning short. :P

I'm pretty sure the part of having his lung blown right out of his body would point to your 9mm

  2. Can't be too hard to beat. More than a few times drunks drove into the dealership I worked at to have the Intoxalok updated. You could smell the alcohol from the counter when they got out of the car. You drove right into the garage there!

  3. We now have a speeding State Trooper in critical condition as of this morning :(. Screaming to an accident, didn't bother to stop on his/her own upon arrival at the scene. Drove right into the fire truck parked on the interstate. Amazing what it did to the cruiser and the back of the fire truck. Damage is extensive and appears the cruiser was flying. Typical of the news, no other info yet, except the initial accident was a box truck in the median that already had cops and rescue on site. They don't need a good reason to speed, they just do. Who's gonna stop em, another speeding cop?!?. When I was on the road all the time, they'd fly by me going 70 fast enough to sway my vehicle and disappear up the highway only to set up radar a few miles ahead and bag all of us that he just blew by!! I was wise to the game and always slowed to 65 until I saw where he stopped. Don't even talk about a half hour before quiting time when 80 is the slow guys heading to the barracks. Hope he/her is ok though.

I've had this issue with Starline and the cases I've cut down.  After talking with Starline, and others, I think there are several factors.  First, I believe the .45 ACP resizing dies really over work the cases causing them to become brittle.  Second, over crimping over works the brass.  Third, I don't bell the cases so much.  This allows me to reduce the crimp with the seating of the bullet, and the bullet doesn't jam down inside the case in the magazine tube.

Starline suggested heating the cases up to about 450-475 degrees for 15 minutes.  These changes seem to have helped, split case have been greatly reduced.  Doesn't seem to happen at all any more unless it's cases I haven't heated up.

Yup, definitely don't use an acp sizing die.

Miss B Haven is 8 and started shooting CAS at 6 years old. She recently had to change her alias by adding the “Lil” due to a mix-up at the SASS office. She is ambidextrous and shoots her left pistol with her left hand and right pistol with her right hand. She enjoys dressing up with her sister and entering the costume contests. She won her category at State this last year and impressed everyone at the Lollipop shoot. She was a crack shot with her Widder Henry 22 and ended up second out of all the ladies.

Same here  and primer pockets have more issues IMHO

The only issue I've had with new StarLine C45S cases has been splits right down the side of a couple percent the first time loaded. After that, maybe a mouth crack or two a season. Been using the same batch of a thousand for several years. But as stated above, zero issues with cut down damaged colt brass.

  7. Can you imagine being on a multi party line today? Your phone would never stop ringing with everybody getting scam calls. We typically get 20-40 a day and maybe 4 legit calls a week!

  8. Another tip! If you don't already reload, start thinking about it! Factory ammo can be expensive and not always plentiful. It's also hotter than needed for CAS. You'll likely save the cost of equipment in your first year.

I don't begin to excuse the "runner."  However, we live in a very small town that boasts a University.  The students seem hell bent on just stepping off into traffic without a glance.  Same Same in Pittsburgh around Pitt.  University students seem to be universally ignorant.  Step in front of vehicles whether a cross walk or not.

PLUS ONE for Marshal Mo you betcha

Same, same on the Dartmouth campus! You drive 10 mph twisting your head like an owl. The entitled brats just pop out from between parked cars looking at nothing but their phones. Crosswalks and crossing signals are meaninglessness! If you nearly clip one, they look at you like you're the ahole.
