thank you 40 - i keep saying this but so many dont listen , there is a difference and we need to recognize it [unless you dont care] , when you put both side by side it shows and it makes a difference

I have my Grandads 1911A1 Remington Rand He was issued in WWII .

I own several different brands of 1911's and A1's

It doesn't really matter or not 1911 Name is on both guns 1911 or 1911A1 are both 1911's

I think people correcting others on spelling or wording is far more ridiculous then dropping off the A1 from a 1911 or not !

    Hey Rooster et All,

I ain't the fastest kid on the block any more.  No even close to fast.  I haven't own'd a 38/357 in Lustrum(s).  But that Big Boy is actually some good looking.  I think I want one.  Don't really know what I'd do wid it, but it is some cool lookin.  Hummmmmmmmmm.

I have said here many times .

I bought a new in the box 44 mag and took it to a local match the first time out .

I am not fast nether by any stretch of the imagination.

I shot a clean match with a brand new Henry straight out of the box.

    With that said .

It still not  very well suited for the game of Cowboy Action Shooting.

A stock 92 or even a 94 is better suited for this game.

But I'm No gun snob .

    Run what you brung  !

Now the .22lr on the other had is a great little gun for the game .

  4. I'm surprised how much interest we have on this topic.

I guess we all are looking to expand or collection with out having to purchase another firearm.

The cost of a new revolver these days is 500 and up .

We can add another cylinder and a different cartridge for only a couple hundred or so .

    OOPSIES!!

Full disclosure here.  I error'd.  Lucky R.K.  Stirred my Gnat like memory and I hadda go look.  Lucky is actually using same same crimp die as I are.  My preferred and recommended crimp die is the Redding AUTO RIM Profile Crimp Die.  A most excellent crimp it is too.

Thanks Lucky.  I had forgotten the most important "AR" part of my crimp die.

What about the Lee Factory Crimp Die ?

I have had good luck using it .

Especially on the 44 WCF cartridge .

  6. I guess I'm under a rock .

But has there been a problem getting Alliant Powder ?

I really try hard to not pay attention to the news or the press of any kind .

And I only look at supplies when it's time to start ordering more .

Thank God I bought quite a bit the last time I needed supplies.

  7. Nowadays the big hoopdedo is tactical lever guns .

( unfortunately it driving  the prices threw the roof)

    But I digress.

Any way I own all kinds of old Winchester 30/30 rifles .

So I took a rifle I had setting in the back of the safe , And made my own take on a tactical lever gun .

Only cost me about 100.00 Compared to the 3000.00 they want for a tactical lever gun .
