Everyone will say Bond Bond Bond !
I say they are over Priced and Big as Hell.
You could NEVER carry a Bond in a vest or shirt pocket !

The point of a Derringer.
Is a Small hideaway gun !
I have two Cobra's .
( .32 .38 )
About 1/4 the cost .
About 1/4 the weight .
A Derringer is Not a gun you shoot alot anyways.
So IMHO The Bond is Over Kill .
I had Cobra's for years .
And you are talking about 125.00 150.00 Derringer New !

The game was what it was long before I come along .
I fell in love with it the first time I saw it.
We play by the established rules because thats how the game is played.
I think if your local club decides to put on a special (shoot what you brung match)
That is up to that club .
But for SASS to change the rules ?
It would NOT be the same game .
And would Loose shooters NOT Gain shooters .

Rugers are built like a tank... but I sold my set because I found I shot my Ubertis more.
I have a set of open tops and a set made by Evil Roy. I really like shooting both sets. I also prefer the look of longer barrels! Here are mine... with the holsters I made for each set. I shoot cross draw.
Them open tops .
Are SEXY Pistols !
I just ordered a pair of 44 specials with 7 1/2" barrels .
I cant wait :-)

They will take loads that will blow up Colts and S&W guns.

I cant till you how many times .
I jacked out a round because.
I rode the triger and the hammer followed the lever back.
Then the rifle did not go bang .
So I leverd the rifle again .
Jacked out a round and had a reload .
It took some time to remember .
Just cock the hammer .
I imagine we all have or will experience this one.

They can handle loads the others cant

Back in the day .
We was period correct for the time.
But that was before PC was BS .
Now PC just got Trumped !
So.
With that being said.
It is what it is .

I injoy casting .
So I am different then most .lol
I have been using Lee two cavity molds for years.
No issues.
Then I tumble lube everything.
And I pan lube my BP bullets .
I cast and load in the winter time .
So I can just shoot and clean in the summer time .
This brakes things up.
And you never get sick of doing ether one.

Pain is Gods way of letting us know we are still alive.
The pain we feel is the one that hurts the most .
As soon a your big toe stops hurting .
The back will start again :-)

Unopened I would say 24hr Max .
Most stuff should be OK.
But the out side and house temperature will play a roll also .

+1 .Welcome, going to the State shoot will be a really good option and gives you the chance to support a vendor. Wild West Mercantile online is also a very good choice and has been a huge supporter of SASS/CAS over the years. While it is possible to start and stay with the bare minimum I applaud anyone who is looking to start off trying a little harder in the clothing department. What we wear along with the spirit in which the game is played is what distinguishes SASS from other shooting sports and I love to see it embraced. Enjoy
When I started out 9 years ago .
I went to the state shoot to check it out as a spectator.
Wild West Mercantile had a booth and I was looking at clothing.
I did not have any money or Credit Cards with me at that time.
I found a complete outfit I liked .
The owners sent me home with the outfit and said
Mail in a check to the store.
WOW !
I knew I found the kind of people that I try to be myself.
You could NOT go wrong doing your business here !

Craftsman Tools...
in SASS Wire Saloon

With SK gone .
Craftsman was one of the last good tools for the Hobby Home Mechanic.
I have been a Professional Certified Technician my hole life.
We need tools like Snap On and Mac .
I have alway told my Sons and Other People .
The best home tool for the Money is Craftsman tools.
I hope the brand and quality survives.
The down fall of Sears and Kmart.
I can say Homedepot Husky brand of tool
Is also a very quality Home Mechanic tool.
I hope Craftsman dont go the way of SK.
