Epoxy on a primer cup (no compound or anvil). Small primer is usually large enough. If you use a brass cup, it polishes nicely to almost gold. A nickel plated cup - polishes to nickel. Doh. Cheap and fast.
Otherwise, a proper shank size and globe size of a shotgun bead will work well.
good luck, GJ
small pistol primer is what I did

Good Evening Woodfox:
If there are 6 SG targets, BEFORE you shoot the first one, load a 6th cartridge, close the loading gate & start shooting.
If there are more than 6 SG targets, you can either load the extras on the clock, or bring a second shotgun-pistol, load te proper number of cartridges, and stage them both.
Happy to have you join Lifer & I at Sandusky!

Or load a few on the clock. Guessing you'll be shooting JFF, so don't worry abt the time. Just have fun while you hopefully heal quickly.
That's what I thought , Thanks for the info

I'm going to have wrist surgery in April on my left wrist carpal tunnel I don't think I will be able to lift my long guns until I heal so I'm thinking I can shoot Josey Wales . I understand 5 revolvers I don't know what you do if there are more shotgun targets than you have rounds in your pistol for the shotgun . Do you take a miss ?
Thanks Woodfox

Have you lubed the bbl pivot and cocking rod tabs where the forearm attaches?
It did lube that area some but I didn't shoot it at all last year

I have a Long Hunter tuned Sharptail bought in Aug. 22 shot it in about 4 stages and couldn't get used to it (I'm a 87 shooter) I've probably shot about 200 rounds through it and it's still stiff to open . Would the Shotgun Boogie springs make it any better ?
I do store it cocked . not ready to give up on it I like sxs's just wondering if it would be worth it to change springs .
Lots of info on this thread .
Thanks Woodfox
