Germany is beautiful, Brussels is historic (pickpockets abound!), and so many other sites are wonderful!
America goes back to the 1700's or so. European cities go back to Roman times!
If you have a kid in the Service, go visit them while they're there. You will never forget the trip!

She has a shaded driveway at home, and doesn't like parking in the sun. It's bad for her complexion, uh, finish!

A neighbor lady baked a loaf of bread in her brick-covered mailbox this past week. Kinda like in Oz!
