I was lucky enough to attend this match once. And what an event it was!
Many thanks to TBone for everything he's done for CAS.

Maybe the camera added 10 lbs? 😀
I couldn't tell, rimmed, rimless.
Wouldn't surprise me that a homeboy had the wrong ammo for his heater though.

Looks like a Smith 38 or 357 but the cartridges look fat, like 45 acps.

Coffee question
If you are a black coffee drinker, and you are served a cup of coffee with cream and sugar in it already, would you drink it? Not because you wanted it but just to be polite, or that was the only thing hot available.
The other way. If you drink coffee with cream and sugar and you are served black coffee, would you drink it?
I have been served coffee light with sugar, and I drank it because politeness says you eat the food that is offered to you. But I drink coffee black.
But I remember way back, the first time I tried black coffee. Because I drank coffee with cream and sugar. That stuff was so nasty. I had to force it down. I only drank it because it was freezing and that was hot.
Nope.
Coffee black. Very black and very hot.
Now I can only drink scalding lava hot pitch black DECAF and although that kinda sucks, it'll hafta do.
The ONLY thing that I'd allow in Coffee is Jameson.
There, I've said my piece and counted to 3.
Amen

I just read an obituary for him. What an accomplished fella! I had no idea, knew he was an actor and singer but not much more.
Seems like we never get the full view of someone's life and their story until after they're gone. Kinda sad.
KK had a life well lived.
Rest in Peace.

After running for 15 years the home AC condenser fan started whining pretty bad. I changed out the fan motor and while at it the capacitor.
Unit starts fine and runs for about a 20 minute cycle then fan kicks off but compressor keeps running for a couple minutes and the noise it's making sounds awful.
I double checked microfarads on new capacitor and resistance on fan through ohming wires and they check out good. Both parts OEM.
The unit does move plenty of cool air in the house but the condenser fan shutting off with the compressor continuing to run for even a short time concerns me. I thought condenser fan and compressor shut off together at end of cooling cycle?
Any helpful ideas or tutorial is very appreciated.

Always loved his articles and writing style. A man full of knowledge. His passion and enthusiasm for Old West everything were infectious.
Rest in Peace, Sir.

Way too many good gun-guys gone over the last couple years.
I love Phil Spangenberger's writing, all of it.
Rest in Peace, Sir. You lived a full and fun life, reaching many with your passion and zeal.

I wasn't aware that there were any Remlin 22lr leverguns made.
If it wasn't then Marlin really screwed the pooch on this 39. During the first 50 rounds the gun became difficult to lever. I took it apart only to find metal shavings everywhere... the action was literally eating itself...
Surprisingly Bass Pro took it back and swapped me a Marlin that worked as it should.

The absolute worst rifle I ever had was an early Remlin model 39 .22 caliber. The absolute best rifle from Marlin I have is also a Remlin and it is a 45-70 caliber GBL.
Go figure. 😀

Pat, 190,000 miles on a Toyota is just getting broke in.
Take it to a garage you trust for a pre-purchase inspection. That is money well spent, in my experience.
We have several Toyotas in the family although no Tacomas (yet). All are going strong well into mid and high 200,000 milage ranges.
New truck prices are unbelievably insanely high yet people keep paying them. I guess some folks don't need to buy groceries...

I figure Blazing Saddles shown today would be the opening credits immediately followed by the closing credits due to easily offended people who hate humor and love cancel culture.
Blazing Saddles is a seriously funny movie. 😀

Sad news. I loved watching his videos. The firearms world lost another great spokesman and advocate and I have no doubt his friends and family lost a wonderful loved one.
